Vibrant India
DME Media School launched the Vibrant India series for celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence on August 9, 2021.
As part of this series, inspiring personalities will be invited for online talk, interview and interaction with students. This series will be a yearlong exercise. The personalities chosen for this series will be selected from all walks of life and from all parts of the country. Each episode will showcase one personality. These will be the people who have achieved something substantial in life and have helped in creating a better society. The objective is that the youth get inspired by the personality and the work of the invited guest.
Peer-to-Peer Faculty Development Programme
DME Media School hosts its flagship program Peer To Peer Faculty Development Programme! Teachers of DME Media School engage in one-of-a-kind deliberation, which dissects and deconstructs the act, philosophy, and pedagogy of teaching! The basic objective of PFDP was to encourage exchange of knowledge and enhance academic discourse among faculty members. Each faculty member took a session for 15 minutes on the area of his or her choice followed by a round of discussion among the peers.
STUDENT INDUCTION PROGRAMME
DME Media School conducted the 7-day Student Induction Programme – SIP 2022 for Batch 2022 of the BA(JMC) programme. The objective of SIP is to give the freshmen an overview of the journalism course and create an understanding of the construct of the programme by interacting with renowned media professionals as well as with internal faculty members. SIP 2022 was planned and executed in two phases. In the first phase, 12 sessions were held from October 13 to 19 and in phase two from October 27 and 28 five interactive sessions were conducted with the newcomers. Mr Amish Devgan, a celebrated Anchor in New 18 India, Mr Prabhat Shunglu, a senior journalist having worked with reputed TV channels and Ms Shikha Sharma, an Anchor in Republic Bharat and Ms Palak Sharma, a senior TV Anchor working with India Ahead, came to DME to motivate the students. Some of the renowned media personalities who interacted with the students were A separate session with parents/guardians of the newly admitted students was also conducted to apprise them about the activities of media school at DME.
STUDENT ORIENTATION PROGRAMME
Orienting students for an upcoming session is a norm in all educational institutions but DME Media School ensures the orientation program of each session is the equivalent of an eminent lecture series and industry exposure itself.
